Starting weight: 264.2
Weight last week: 231.7
Current weight: 229.6
Lost this week: 2.1
Total lost to date: 34.6
Weight remaining to lose: 49.6 pounds
All righty, this is more like it! I've been working hard this week, I stepped up my walking and my weights and the number of reps on the ab-roller and all. I still haven't made up for my gain, but we're working on it.
ALDI has replaced the frozen turkey burgers with 2 packs of pre-cooked ones, and also chicken burgers. While they are basically a buck each (thereby doubling your cost) they are both quite good. Also, the Chicken burgers are superb, even better than the turkey. I highly recommend them. They are three points, while the turkey is 4! Also, have 'em on a Pepperidge Farm Sandwich Flat and you have a 4 or 5 point sammich!
Anyway, biggest loser tonight, but I probably won't be able to watch it until tomorrow. I'll keep you posted!

I have a monkey on my back. A chubby monkey.
Lately, I feel like one of those junkies you see in documentaries who are in recovery but are in the car driving and they go “Man, I could go over to my dealer right now and score and no one would be the wiser. I could just do it once...”
I was totally feeling like that on the way home from our parent-teacher meeting*. I was craving a sammich from Dunkin Donuts. I rationalized it all in my head, but I didn't do it. I drove home instead.
I figured I could have a few pieces of on an Arnold Sandwich Flat (wow, are these ever good, and only one point a piece!) with some Fit N Active Turkey Bacon, but lo and behold, the bacon was rancid.
DENIED.
Instead I had some almonds. Boy, that took the edge off. That was sarcasm, by the way.
I wonder if it will get easier. The siren's song of the BAD FOOD is as strong as it's ever been. It's really annoying, to tell you the truth!
* Which I was late for because I was stuck behind a School Bus. Yes, I see the irony.

Man, I love Aldi. If you're not familiar with them, they are a chain of grocery stores from Europe (I know they are big in Germany) that's making some headway in the states. It's much less expensive, and while you may not get the variety of brands that the other grocers have, I have yet to be disappointed in the quality of the products purchased there, aside from some apples. As apples are a fruit, and it's more than likely that they went wonky after I bought them, I'm giving them a pass on that.
Anyway, their Fit & Active line is very similar to the Weight Watchers brand in may respects. Package design, size, and most importantly, taste. Where the difference is, is the price. They are a lot cheaper then the WW brand.
I'm going to mention an awful lot of Fit & Active food here in the blog, because I'm eating a lot of it.
Anyway, today's is the Fit & Active Sesame Chicken frozen meal. If you're watching your WW points like me, it is a kind of steep 8 pointer, but there's noodles in in so you can't really argue. It's pretty filing, and the sauce is quite tasty.
The chicken is breaded and are pretty much nuggets, if we're going to call it like it is. I couldn't tell if they were baked or fried, although my guess is probably fried. There were five or six pretty good sized pieces in there.
All in all I gotta give it a solid B+

Shoulda Taken Pictures!
…of the kick-ass sammich I made last night.
1- Weight Watchers whole wheat roll- 2 points
1- Purdue baked chicken patty- 4 points
2- slices of Aldi Fit & Active turkey bacon- 2 points
Usually this would have lettuce, but we were out. I put a dab of Big Ed’s BBQ sauce on it. NUMMY!
In retrospect I remembered we have onions. DAMN. If there’s more chicken left, I may reconstruct this sammich tonight with more vegetable options.
