Three Hundred Days! Also, ouch.

Three hundred days. Check that out.

I feel confident I can do 47 or so pounds in three hundred days, barring eating, like, a hovercraft or something.

So, I did join RetroFitness and I like it. The stretching room lacks one of those cool stretching structures that WOW had, but I don't need that, I'm just spoiled. Plus it's a good deal cheaper.

I'd love to have a pool though.

I did a lot of machines yesterday, and man alive am I feeling it today. I had my Biggest Loser protein drink after , so I think I'd have felt much worse. I think it's all cardio today!

I have been reading your blog over the past 8-9 weeks as we both progress on our weight loss endeavor.

From your blog and pictures, we are about the same height and are both striving to reach 180 pounds. I think I am several years older--44 in December.

On July 28, 2009, as I began my diet, I stumbled upon this blog: http://heavyweight.typepad.com/

The work and detail this man did to document his weight loss is truly remarkable.

Every day, I compare my results to his. Incredibly I am on the exact same pace he was on, and achieving almost identical results.

On July 28, I weighed 258 pounds--six pounds less than your start weight. As of today, October 30, 93 days into this journey, I have lost 46.8 pounds. By comparison, on his 93rd day, this man had lost 47.6 pounds.

I am averaging .50 pounds a day, and about 15 pounds per month. This man also lost around .5 pounds a day, and around 15 pounds per month (during his first 3 months).

Reading your last post and seeing your goal of 300 days to reach 180 pounds caused me to want to share with you this man's website.

I have 31.2 pounds to go. Based upon my results to date, I am projecting completing my weight loss journey in about 60 to 70 days--right after the new year.

My bet is you can substantially shorten the 300 days. Use this man's results as a guide and benchmark.

Just as he did, I keep a daily log, although clearly not as detailed. Every day, I list my weight, pounds lost, pounds to my goal weight of 180 pounds, and daily calories burned exercising. Every day, I have a minimum burn of at least 700 calories (according to the machines). I also eat a very regimented diet, with almost no deviations.

I will be reading and watching. Good luck.

Thanks! Congrats on your success as well! I'd do the daily log but I have a three year old and he keeps me a little busy for that!

I should have been at my goal by now but I didn't really have a fire under my ass until I lost my mom in April. She died too soon and I will be damned if I leave my wife and kid this early in the game.

She told me when I saw her "You look good!" and while she's not here to actually see it, I'd like to make that a truthful statement.
